Job Description

We are seeking a Business Development Manager in Manufacturing Engineering to support our growth. Your responsibilities will include:

Business Development

  • Building a strategy for developing the business, winning new business, and managing accounts.
  • Responsible for the P&L, both revenue and margin.
  • Clear understanding of customer needs, sales pitch, value proposition, bid writing, costing, CRM management, status reporting, and ongoing customer relationship management.

Project Delivery

  • Building and managing a team by recruiting new members or transferring staff from other UK or Group projects/departments.
  • Leading the commercial relationship with customers for engineering work packages and service centers.
  • Recruiting talent for your teams, managing team motivation and productivity, and ensuring the level of service is maintained to the customer.
  • Ensuring project financials are met.

Requirements

  • Strong network in the manufacturing sector in the UK in either Automotive or Pharmaceuticals.
  • Self-starter with a can-do attitude, paired with an energetic and enthusiastic approach.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Well-structured and organized.
  • Ability to travel within Europe and within the UK.
