Cell Line Development Manager

Cranleigh STEM, Sustainability & SHEQ Recruitment is seeking a seasoned professional to drive innovation and excellence in our interdisciplinary team. As the Cell Line Development Manager, you will oversee the planning and execution of work packages to achieve key deliverables within defined timeframes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement effective project plans to ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
- Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project objectives.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead a team of scientists with diverse expertise, providing guidance and direction to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive team environment that fosters open communication and knowledge sharing.
- Technical Expertise:
- Develop and maintain expertise in CHO cell line development, including analytical methods such as HPLC/UPLC and LC-MS for antibody characterization.
- Apply advanced molecular biology techniques, including gene editing, single-cell cloning, CRISPR, and ORF library screens.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of industry experience in cell line development, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with high-throughput and automated technologies for mammalian cell line generation.
- Knowledge of plasmid design for stable and high-level expression of therapeutic antibodies.
