About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to join our Quality Review & Support team at BDO UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality audits that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform targeted reviews of audits to identify areas for improvement and provide coaching and support to teams to enhance audit quality
  • Challenging audits throughout the audit cycle, providing guidance and support to teams to ensure consistent high-quality audits
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve audit quality, working closely with the QRST Director and other stakeholders
  • Support and coach teams to implement identified improvements in audit quality, providing guidance and feedback to ensure successful implementation
  • Contribute to the development of training and guidance on performing high-quality audits, sharing best practices and expertise with the team
  • Provide clear and practical solutions to ad-hoc audit quality queries, working closely with teams to resolve issues and improve audit quality
Requirements
  • Excellent practical and technical auditing experience, particularly on complex audits
  • Good working knowledge of IFRS and ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context
  • Ability to think innovatively and creatively to identify ways to improve audit quality, with a keen interest in audit quality and a willingness to challenge and influence others
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts effectively
  • Effective project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
