About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to join our Quality Review & Support team at BDO UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality audits that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform targeted reviews of audits to identify areas for improvement and provide coaching and support to teams to enhance audit quality
  • Challenging audits throughout the audit cycle, providing guidance and support to teams to ensure consistent high-quality audits
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve audit quality, working closely with the QRST Director to agree approach
  • Support and coach teams to implement identified improvements in audit quality, providing clear and practical solutions to ad hoc audit quality queries
  • Contribute to the development of training and guidance on performing high-quality audits, sharing expertise and best practices with colleagues
Requirements
  • Excellent practical and technical auditing experience, particularly on complex audits
  • Good working knowledge of IFRS and ability to think innovatively and creatively to identify ways to improve audit quality
  • Ability and willingness to assertively challenge and influence more senior individuals and peers
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with effective project management and attention to detail
  • Desirable: Experience of performing audit quality reviews (pre or post audit opinion) and IFRS9 or IFRS17 expertise
