About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Expert Payroll Specialist to join our team in South Cheshire working in a payroll bureau and consultancy environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in payroll administration and be looking to step up into a payroll specialist role.

This is a challenging role that requires managing the end-to-end payroll of multiple client payrolls.

You will be working closely with the wider payroll team at CE Back Office to provide support to team members where required.

This is a full-time position although part-time hours would be considered.

Location: Hybrid - Based on the Nantwich office on a Tuesday and Thursday each week.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 dependant on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage payroll inbox and respond to queries from HR, Managers, Employees, Third Party Suppliers.
  • Prepare payroll imports and changes on time and upload them to the payroll system.
  • Review payroll data including manual checks, NMW compliance, and prepare sign-off reports.
  • Prepare and upload third-party reports.
  • Evaluate payroll processes to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in payroll administration and knowledge of payroll regulations.
  • Proficiency in Excel including use of formulas and v look-ups.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a relevant payroll qualification.
