Payroll Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team at CE Back Office in Cheshire, working in a fast-paced payroll bureau and consultancy environment. The role will suit someone with UK payroll experience looking to advance their career.
This is a challenging role supporting the end-to-end payroll delivery across multiple clients in a rapidly growing organization. You will work closely with and be supported by a wider service delivery team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to payroll service delivery across multiple clients
- Manage payroll queries from clients and escalate where necessary
- Collate data and prepare payroll imports and changes
- Review payroll data including manual checks and prepare reports for client sign-off
- Obtain sign-off from clients for audit purposes
- Prepare and upload third-party reports
- Conduct compliance checks across payroll operations
- Support annual payroll tasks including year-end processing, P11D submissions, and PSA reporting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with payroll regulations including ITEPTA, Pension regulations, WTR, and AWR
- Ability to complete manual payroll calculations
- Data protection awareness
- Nice to have: Knowledge of statutory payments, employee benefits, and expenses
Requirements:
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to carry out manual payroll calculations
- Experience with Excel, including use of formulas and pivot tables
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
