Role Description:

This position involves supporting students with autism spectrum conditions and associated learning difficulties.

Main Duties:

  • Client Assessment: Evaluate clients' social communication and language skills to identify areas for improvement.
  • Intervention Planning: Develop tailored intervention plans to enhance clients' communication abilities.
  • Staff Support: Offer training and guidance to staff on effective communication strategies.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly review and update client records to track progress.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • A degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
  • Registration with the HCPC.
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of autism spectrum conditions and their impact on communication.
