About the Role:

Our client, a specialist school in Manchester, is seeking an experienced Mental Health Assistant to support young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

The successful candidate will be based inside the classroom, working closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students with complex mental health needs
  • Assist in the development of individualized support plans to promote student well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people with mental health needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A caring and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable young people
