Accounts and Administrative Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. As part of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for managing contractor bills and payments, client and contractor liaison, credit control, bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management reporting.
The successful candidate will have strong bookkeeping principles and double-entry accounting knowledge, with experience in roles such as Accounts Assistant or Accounting Associate. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is also essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contractor Bill and Pay Management: Processing invoices, making payments, and managing timesheets.
- Client and Contractor Liaison: Building relationships with clients and contractors to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution.
- Credit Control: Managing debtors, conducting credit reports, and maintaining debtor days.
- Bookkeeping: Maintaining purchase ledgers, reconciling bank statements, and managing fixed assets.
- VAT Returns: Preparing VAT returns for the UK and overseas markets.
- Management Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of management accounts, consolidation, and profit centre management.
Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
