Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Therapy Team at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. As a Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy staff in delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with a range of conditions, including dementia, Parkinson's disease, and falls.
  • Work under the supervision of qualified Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy staff to undertake tasks such as assisting with activities of daily living, functional mobility, and respiratory problems.
  • Contribute to the efficient running of the department by undertaking non-clinical duties such as clerical and housekeeping tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals to ensure successful treatment outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive treatment notes in line with legal and departmental requirements.
