Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Therapy Team at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. As a Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy staff in delivering high-quality care to our patients.
Main Responsibilities- Assist in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with a range of conditions, including dementia, Parkinson's disease, and falls.
- Work under the supervision of qualified Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy staff to undertake tasks such as assisting patients with functional activities of daily living, supervising exercises, and preparing patients for treatment.
- Communicate effectively with patients to gain informed consent to treatment and assess their understanding of treatment proposals.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive treatment notes in line with legal and departmental requirements.
