SEND Teaching Assistant (PMLD) | Job Opportunity

Ribbons and Reeves is proud to be working alongside an exceptional independent school for children with profound and multiple learning disabilities, severe sensory impairment, and complex medical needs.

Our partner school provides a holistic and collaborative approach to teaching and learning, nursing, and therapy. The school caters for children and young people from the age of 3-25 and offers a range of facilities, including a hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms, onsite physiotherapists, and registered nurses.

Job Requirements
  • Experience of supporting pupils with PMLD
  • Confident and willing to support with personal care
  • Willing to support with hydrotherapy and rebound therapy
  • Good interpersonal and administration skills
  • Creative and patient mindset with a keen eye for detail
  • Manual Handling Training and Level 2 Safeguarding Training required (Ribbons and Reeves will provide information about both courses if you do not hold these certificates)

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be trained in Gastrostomies and Medicines to ensure the children receive the correct care. If you have a creative and patient mindset, a keen eye for detail, and experience supporting pupils with PMLD, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding role.
