Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in an outstanding school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with SEND in a variety of settings, including classrooms, playgrounds, and extracurricular activities.
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and activities tailored to meet the needs of students with SEND.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEND, including behavior management and communication techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers, other support staff, and parents to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting students with SEND.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEND.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with SEND, preferably in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students with SEND.
  • Knowledge of SEND policies and procedures, including the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
