Job Title: Lead SEN English Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead SEN English Teacher to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating English within the school, ensuring that our students receive the best possible education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and organize English within the school, ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education.
  • Manage and lead relevant approaches and subject information, including assessment of progress in English, literacy, and phonics.
  • Ensure that literacy and phonics interventions are coordinated, delivered, and tracked, resulting in improved progress and outcomes for our students.
  • Develop English as a specialist and successful dimension of the academic curriculum offer, reflected by improved progress and outcomes for all pupils.
  • Provide training to staff as needed, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to support our students.
  • Provide relevant progress and teaching/learning quality information to the Senior Leadership Team as required.
  • Act as Careers Officer, ensuring compliance with the Gatsby Benchmarks.
Requirements:
  • PGCE, QTS, Cert Ed, or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training.
  • Relevant knowledge and experience of pupils with SEN, SLD/PMLD, and ASD.
  • Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Experience of managing a range of approaches to behavior, including managing behaviors that challenge.
