Job Title: Lead SEN English Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead SEN English Teacher to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating English within the school, ensuring that our pupils receive the best possible education.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of teaching English to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and will be able to develop and implement effective literacy and phonics interventions. You will work closely with our staff to provide training and support, ensuring that our pupils receive the best possible education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate English within the school, ensuring that our pupils receive the best possible education.
  • Develop and implement effective literacy and phonics interventions.
  • Provide training and support to staff, ensuring that our pupils receive the best possible education.
  • Work closely with our staff to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting pupils with SEN.
  • Act as Careers Officer, ensuring compliance with the Gatsby Benchmarks.
Requirements
  • PGCE, QTS, Cert Ed or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training.
  • Relevant knowledge and experience of pupils with SEN, SLD/PMLD and ASD.
  • Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Experience of managing a range of approaches to behaviour, including managing behaviours that challenge.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, plus Expert payment of £1,500 per annum in addition to current salary. You will also have access to our FREE child protection and prevent duty training, as well as a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
