About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Visitor Centre Assistant at Beam Suntory. As a key member of our Visitor Centre team, you will be responsible for delivering a world-class premium brand experience to our visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn the history and heritage of our distillery and be able to communicate this to visitors.
  • Lead all distillery tours and on/offsite tastings, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
  • Work across all areas of the visitor centre, including hosting groups, working in the retail shop, and tasting bar.
  • Host all levels of tours of the distillery, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Responsible for opening and closing premises, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
  • Assist with stock takes and counts, maintaining accurate records.
  • Daily banking and reconciliation, ensuring financial accuracy.
  • Administrative duties, including responding to customer inquiries and processing sales orders.
  • Work closely with the Visitor Centre Manager to define annual goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the distillery operations team to ensure company operational procedures and H&S practices are adhered to rigorously.
  • Maintain Visitor Centre facilities to a high standard of cleanliness.

Requirements

  • Experience in presenting to a wide range of audiences.
  • In-depth knowledge of Beam Suntory brands and company values.
  • Current driving license.
  • Previous experience within the hospitality, retail, and/or tourism sector is desirable.

  • Drive and passion for delivering excellent customer service and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Good listening and questioning skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written skills, with the ability to deliver presentations to wide and varied audiences.
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative and build and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong drive and desire to succeed, with high levels of energy, focus, and ambition.
  • Ability to multi-task in a demanding environment.
