We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Advisory Teacher to join our team, providing teaching, support, and advice to children and young people with vision impairment.
About the Role:- Provide teaching, support, and advice to children and young people with vision impairment, promoting their inclusion and overcoming barriers to learning.
- Work collaboratively with service staff, school staff, families, pupils, and other professionals to deliver effective training and development.
- Plan and deliver interventions for children with a variety of learning needs and styles.
- Experienced teacher with the 'Qualified Teacher for Children and Young People with a Vision Impairment' mandatory qualification or willingness to train and qualify within 3 years.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Sound knowledge, skills, and direct experience of working with children with vision impairment.
- Grade 1 or grade 2 braille qualification or willingness to attain.
- Use of a car necessary to work in settings throughout the borough.
