Speech and Language Therapy Support Specialist

This exciting opportunity is available to support Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) provision across both Community and in-patient settings. As a Clinical Speech Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with the SLTs and others in the multi-disciplinary team to manage a delegated caseload of patients referred for communication or swallowing difficulty.
Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and implementing interventions following completion of supervised practice and theoretical training. You will also develop competency to provide communication and swallowing support to patients in various settings, including acute adult inpatient settings and community settings.
You will contribute to the training and development of SLT students, Band 3 SLT Assistants, and SLTs new to your clinical area. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
