About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Events Manager to join our team at Searcys. As a Senior Events Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering successful events, hospitality, and conference and banqueting areas within the Events department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Execution: Plan and execute events, hospitality, and conference and banqueting areas, ensuring seamless delivery and exceeding client expectations.
  • Team Management: Manage and lead a team of Event Managers, Hospitality Managers, and Porters, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients, marketing, events, and sales departments to deliver exceptional service and meet client expectations.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain high standards of service, ensuring that all events meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with legislative and government guidelines, including food safety, health and safety, and GDPR.
  • Financial Management: Manage and monitor food and beverage control, including performing bi-monthly stock takes and ensuring adherence to Searcys cash handling and cashing up procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in running large events, dinners, and conferences, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional service.
  • Leadership and Management: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Financial Management: Strong financial management skills, with the ability to manage budgets and control costs.
  • Training and Development: Proven ability to provide training and development opportunities to staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
