We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to fill a Part-Time role in Preston. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to provide essential support to students with special educational needs.

About the Role:

As a Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering targeted support to students with SEN, helping them engage with the curriculum and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the class teacher to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Deliver 1:1 or small group support, promoting student engagement and progress.
  • Help manage student behavior, encouraging positive social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum one year's experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in an SEN setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, patient, and empathetic nature.
  • A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
