Job Title: Part-Time SEN Education Support Worker

Location: Preston, Lancashire

Contract Type: Part-Time, Term-Time Only (Monday to Friday, AM)

Salary: £12.82-£14.85 per hour

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Educational Support Worker to join our team on a part-time basis in Preston. The role involves working Monday to Friday mornings only, providing crucial support to students with special educational needs (SEN). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking a flexible role with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support students with SEN in the classroom during morning lessons.
  2. Provide 1:1 or small group assistance, helping children to engage with the curriculum and make progress.
  3. Assist the class teacher in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  4. Implement and follow individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
  5. Help manage behavior and encourage positive social and emotional development.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within an SEN setting.
  2. Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  3. A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning is desirable.
  4. Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
  5. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
