We are seeking a compassionate and friendly individual to join our team as a Befriender 'In Home' Volunteer. As a Befriender, you will play a vital role in providing companionship to someone we support at our supported living service in Exeter.
Key Responsibilities- Visit individuals in their homes and engage in activities they enjoy, such as chatting, reading, or playing games.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals, helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Be kind, empathetic, and friendly, with a good sense of humour and ability to chat.
- Be punctual and reliable, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection procedures.
- Be able to deal with information in line with our data protection and confidentiality procedures.
- Be over the age of 18.
At SeeAbility, we specialise in supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, who may also have sight loss, to realise their goals each and every day.
