National Employability Tutor Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated National Employability Tutor to deliver training and assessment on short course qualifications up to Level 2, as well as classroom-based employability courses to the unemployed.

Main Job Responsibilities:
  1. To safeguard candidates whilst on programme and establish a safe environment for all staff and candidates
  2. To deliver training and assessment on various short course qualifications up to Level 2 and classroom-based employability courses to the unemployed
  3. To interpret knowledge requirements in ways appropriate to candidates at all levels and support learners in achieving their goals through embedding wider topics: safeguarding, Prevent, EDI and British values
  4. To embed maths, English and ICT and demonstrate practical applications of vocational programmes
  5. To adapt/develop appropriate learning materials, record and provide feedback to learners continually on their programme and complete attendance records and provide information for tracking student progress in their place of learning
  6. To share best practice and resources in training, learning and assessment and participate in standardisation meetings and maintain and monitor the training/workplace environment to meet Health and Safety standards
Key Requirements:
  • A full UK driving license and own transport
  • An appreciation of safeguarding issues and ability to contribute towards a protective environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (written and spoken) and IT literate
  • Ability to work across all levels and engage with people accordingly and able to demonstrate attention to detail and high-quality work
  • Good personal organisation, time management and administrative skills and self-motivated and effective team player

The successful candidate will undergo an enhanced DBS check and will be expected to work outside of normal hours for marking, travel etc. Working away from home is an essential part of the role, which may involve staying in a hotel for three out of four weeks. The company offers mileage reimbursement, pre-booked hotels, an evening meal allowance, and a mobile phone bill paid up to £50 per month.

Estimated Salary: £48,750 per annum
