**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Service Management Specialist to join our team. As a Change and Release Manager, you will be responsible for managing Releases and Deployments for the Networks and Infrastructure (N&I) Release Management team.

The role involves allocating workload, acting as first escalation if there are any issues, and providing specialist advice on major Release and Deployment Requests. You will also oversee teams to ensure that services are delivered by the team and suppliers within defined timescales and are well documented.

You will be required to develop policies, processes, and procedures in line with best practice to deliver quality services. This includes automating and drawing on efficiencies from other Service Management areas where possible.

In addition, you will provide reporting to senior IT Operations and wider DDaT management, representing the function on various boards and forms of governance.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Releases and Deployments for the N&I Release Management team through the Change process.
  • Allocate workload and act as first escalation if there are any issues.
  • Provide specialist advice on major Release and Deployment Requests.
  • Oversee teams to ensure that services are delivered by the team and suppliers within defined timescales and are well documented.
  • Develop policies, processes, and procedures in line with best practice to deliver quality services.

**Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience of developing, implementing, and adhering to ITIL v3/v4 management processes and procedures.
  • Performing a similar role within the Civil Service or at other organisations.
  • Technical experience, ideally within a Networks and Infrastructure role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Able to present in front of leadership teams, with a proactive mindset to drive action resolution in critical areas.
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with suppliers and senior stakeholders.

**Salary:** £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
