HVDC Centre Engineering Graduate Programme

About the Role:

We are seeking highly motivated and talented Electrical Power Engineering graduates to join our HVDC Centre team as Engineering Graduates. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the power system studies to de-risk the deployment of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission technologies and contribute to our net-zero targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop models of transmission systems and carry out simulations using specialist simulation tools to identify feasibility, risks, and mitigation.
  • Work with experts in your specialism to gain exposure within a business area and develop a depth of knowledge to utilise in your substantive post.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to support the integration of massive offshore wind power and achieve net-zero.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a 2:2 BEng in Electrical Power Engineering.
  • Practical work or project experience that reflects your passion for the energy sector.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a team and comfortable working to and setting stretching individual targets.
