Social Work Specialist

About the Role
We're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional to join our Safeguarding teams as a Social Work Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a purposeful and professional social work service to children in need and their families.
Our restorative practice approach focuses on imaginative and family-focused interventions. You will work closely with children and their families to ensure they receive the support and intervention they need to make and sustain positive change.
As a champion for service development and improvement within the department of Children's Social Care and Early Help, you will role-model Research in Practice and undertake high-quality assessments.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide a purposeful and professional social work service to children in need and their families.
- Work closely with children and their families to ensure they receive the support and intervention they need.
- Undertake high-quality assessments and role-model Research in Practice.
- Contribute to service development and improvement within the department of Children's Social Care and Early Help.

Requirements
- Qualification in Social Work and registration with the Social Work England register.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build professional relationships with children and their families.
- Good knowledge and experience in safeguarding children.
Working with Us
We're committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults and young people. An Enhanced DBS check with a check of the relevant barred list is required for this post. This post is a designated customer-facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as per the person specification.
