Job Title: Experienced Social Worker for Children's Duty & Assessment

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced social worker to join our Assessment Team in Castle Hill, working across the borough. The ideal candidate will have experience in statutory social work functions, including safeguarding and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake home visits to gather information and establish any safeguarding concerns
  • Conduct s47 enquiries, including coordination of statutory meetings and closing s47 if no further action is required
  • Provide short-term interventions and liaise with other teams when necessary
  • Work within the Courts, taking statutory action to protect children when necessary
  • Participate in duty rota cover and front-line social work

Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Experience in statutory social work functions, including safeguarding and support
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social work practice
