Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our team as an Independent Reviewing Officer and Child Protection Conference Chair. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Children's Social Work setting and will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legislation related to Children in Need, Child Protection Plans, Pathway Plans, and children Looked After. They will also have experience in preparing, producing, implementing, and evaluating plans with individual children, families, carers, and professional colleagues.

The role will involve working closely with children and young people to support their participation in Review meetings and will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as an Independent Reviewing Officer and Child Protection Conference Chair
  2. Ensure the safety and well-being of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager
  3. Prepare, produce, implement, and evaluate plans with individual children, families, carers, and professional colleagues
  4. Support children and young people to participate in Review meetings
  5. Work closely with children and young people to understand their needs and develop plans to meet those needs

Requirements:

  • DipSW or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with the HCPC
  • Current DBS
  • Car driver
