Specialty Administrator for Surgery and Medicine

Job Summary
To oversee the administrative services for the Postgraduate School of Surgery and Medicine at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the listed specialities, including Training Programme Directors and senior clinicians.
Main Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for coordinating a programme of activity for postgraduate primary care and secondary care doctors. This will include:
- Organising courses and events, including virtual and face-to-face meetings
- Arranging meetings using Microsoft Teams
- Promoting events through various media channels, including social media
- Designing marketing materials to promote events
- Providing secretarial and administrative support
- Prioritising, planning, and organising own and others' tasks
- Dealing with difficult situations and confrontations
- Managing data entry and documentation
- Producing accurate financial costings for courses and events
- Taking minutes to a high standard

Person Specification
The successful candidate will have:
- Education to degree level or NVQ level 4 or equivalent
- Customer service/business admin/ITQ or equivalent professional experience
- Secretarial and/or complex administrative experience
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication skills, including telephone, email, and face-to-face
- Ability to manage and work as part of a team
- Ability to organise and manage own time and others to keep to schedule and deadlines
- Ability to analyse and present complex data
- Ability to manage projects
- Ability to use own initiative and work autonomously
- Leadership skills
- Developed accurate and speedy typing and keyboard skills
