About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Risk and Controls Manager to join our team at Natwest. As a key member of our risk management team, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating risks across our digital and technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with our business stakeholders to manage risks and controls within agreed risk appetite, using our risk framework to ensure team objectives are achieved.
  • Identify and mitigate risks across our digital and technology platforms, using your expertise in technology risk management, audit, and controls.
  • Develop and implement robust governance frameworks that engage all relevant stakeholders to enable effective decision-making.
  • Manage the interface between the business, internal audit, second line of defence, and other functions, as well as the wider risk and controls teams.
  • Ensure that all aspects of risk management are delivered within the policy framework and operational risk requirements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in technology risk management, audit, and controls, with a strong understanding of digital and technology risk.
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management skills, with experience working in financial services, preferably within retail banking.
  • Experience of digital and technology risk and control assessments, including AWS and Cloud.
  • Knowledge of our businesses and associated products, processes, and technologies, preferably including retail banking products, processes, and technologies.
  • Ability to think creatively when resolving problems to identify alternatives where established procedures may not exist.
  • Understanding of how to design IT controls and automation.
