Radiographer Specialist

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Trainee Advanced Practitioner Radiographer in Adult Chest and Abdomen Plain Film Reporting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality diagnostic imaging examinations in a way that meets the needs of patients within the Imaging Directorate of the UHNM, within their specialist area.
The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, adopting a caring, co-operative, and flexible approach to their working practices. They will maintain a professional attitude for the dignity and well-being of patients and ensure full confidentiality at all times.
Main Responsibilities:- Participate in the Performance and Development Review (PDR) process each year with the first PDR taking place within the first 6 months from appointment.
- Undertake any formal study or informal training required to fulfill the needs of the post, including self-study.
- Play a leadership role in department Audit and Quality Assurance to maintain effective Clinical Governance.
- Assist in organizing staff rotas and deployment of staff to ensure adequate service provision can be maintained, when required.
- Maintain a positive attitude to flexible working to meet the demands of the service.

Job Requirements:The post holder will be required to have a BSc (Hon) Radiography or equivalent qualification. They will also need to have recent clinical experience in a busy NHS Imaging department and knowledge of UHNM plain film justification criteria.
The ideal candidate will have organizational skills, prioritization, and planning abilities, as well as the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service as required within a 24/7 teaching hospital.
