Radiation Therapy Specialist

This is an exciting career opportunity for a skilled Radiographer/Dosimetrist to become part of our innovative Radiotherapy Physics team at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust.
Main Responsibilities- Contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of specialist dosimetry services to the Radiotherapy Department.
- Ensure accurate and timely production of patient treatment plans, adhering to prescribed procedures and guidelines.
- Support the development and implementation of complex radiotherapy treatment plans, including VMAT, to maximize therapeutic efficacy and minimize healthy tissue damage.
- Collaborate with team members to verify and deliver individual treatment plans, providing expert advice and guidance as needed.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members within the RDS, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Degree in Therapeutic Radiography or a related field.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in treatment planning and a strong understanding of Varian and Eclipse planning systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
