Job Title: Chief Executive Officer

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic and tactical leadership to Oxford Food Hub, guiding the organisation through its next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership and Vision: Develop and implement the strategic plan, champion a clear vision, and lead on market analysis and adaptation.
  • Operational Excellence and Capacity Building: Drive improvements in operational efficiency, logistics, and food redistribution, and expand the organisation's capacity and network.
  • Financial Sustainability and Resource Mobilisation: Diversify and strengthen funding sources, allocate resources effectively, and ensure robust financial management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, serve as the public face of Oxford Food Hub, and forge strategic partnerships.
  • Governance and Compliance: Work closely with the Board of Trustees, ensure regulatory compliance, and develop and implement risk management strategies.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in a senior leadership role within the charity, private, non-profit, or food redistribution sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex operations, including logistics and supply chain management.
  • Excellent line management skills and experience of developing a high-performing team.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in developing diverse funding streams.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
  • Deep understanding of the UK's regulatory environment for food redistribution and charitable activities.
  • A passionate advocate for environmental sustainability, food security, and community well-being.
