Job Overview

The Electrical Verification Team at BAE Systems is seeking a skilled Power Systems Specialist to join our team in Barrow-In-Furness or Filton. As a key member of our multidisciplinary electrical team, you will play a critical role in the verification and validation of power systems through compatibility testing of equipment and power system analysis.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, reflecting your experience and qualifications.

About the Role

  • Technical point of contact for other engineers and support with developing and mentoring other team members.
  • Ensure the team operates efficiently and effectively in meeting project timelines and objectives.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams, suppliers, and stakeholders on matters related to the compatibility test facility.
  • Prepare technical reports, progress reports, and presentations, communicating results and advising recommendations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience in electrical or power engineering.
  • Knowledge of high power and medium voltage power systems and distributions.
  • Knowledge of compatibility testing of electrical equipment and power electronics.
