Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Specialist to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of the Test & Commissioning team, you will be responsible for planning and supervising commissioning activities, ensuring all commissioning activities are met to accurately plan and budget.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work on advanced weapons equipment, requiring a high specialist focus. You will have an opportunity to lead and manage a team of Engineers within the Weapons Test Section, coordinating input of information to the team from all engineering functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and supervising commissioning activities
  • Reviewing and authoring test documentation in relation to the weapons test section
  • Reviewing and planning training and development of electrical engineers within the section
  • Liaising with other test departments to ensure safe control of work
  • Ensuring all commissioning activities are met to accurately plan and budget

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in commissioning engineering, with experience of reviewing electrical and weapons technical documentation and drawings. You should also have good knowledge of safety controls & procedures in a high-risk operational environment.
