About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our CAMHS Tier 3 service in Wandsworth at Springfield Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing medical leadership and specialist advice to patients, working in a multidisciplinary team providing community services with close links to local authorities and schools.

The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of neuro-developmental disorders in children and adolescents, with the ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty. They will also be able to deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training, and demonstrate commitment to shared leadership and collaborative working.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing medical leadership within the team
  • Conducting assessments and delivering treatment for patients with neuro-developmental disorders
  • Collaborating with care coordinators and team members to develop individualized care plans
  • Liaising with colleagues in paediatrics and community paediatrics, as well as local authorities and education departments
Requirements:
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Approved under S12 or able to achieve with 3 months of appointment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of £160,000 - £180,000 per annum, plus benefits including relocation assistance up to £8,000 (if applicable). Flexible working options are available, with the possibility of part-time work with a reduced number of programmed activities (PAs).
