Job Title: Adult Diabetes Specialist Dietitian

Join our team as an experienced HCPC registered band 7 Dietitian to provide a high-quality, evidence-based nutrition and dietetic service to community services.

About the Role

We are looking for a professional who will provide dietetic support to young people and adults with eating disorders. The successful candidate will be proactive in the rigorous monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of agreed care management plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based up-to-date nutrition and dietetic service to community services.
  • Be proactive in the monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of agreed care management plans.
About Us

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health, and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

Person Specification

Education

  • Honours Degree or equivalent in Nutrition and Dietetics approved by the BDA/Health Professions Council.
  • Health Professions Council registered Dietitian.
  • Evidence of relevant postgraduate specialist clinical education at postgraduate level or equivalent and/or equivalent experience.

Knowledge

  • Advanced clinical knowledge relevant to the care environment and evidence of evidence-based practice in relevant health settings.
  • Knowledge of relevant national policies and guidance including MEED and NICE and relevant assessment tools.

Experience

  • Demonstrate a programme of learning, which involves additional theoretical or conceptual knowledge acquisition achieved through self-study, courses, and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Thorough and sound knowledge of the development and maintenance of Eating Disorders and its physiological, psychological, and medical aspects.
