Job Title: Adult Diabetes Specialist Dietitian

Central All Age Eating Disorder Team (Community based)

Hours: 37.5

Temporary: 12 month contract

We are seeking an experienced HCPC registered band 7 Dietitian to join our Central All Age Eating Disorder Team, based in Preston and Chorley.

The successful candidate will provide a high quality, evidence based up to date nutrition and dietetic service to community services, with a focus on providing dietetic support to young people and adults with eating disorders.

About the Role

The Dietitian will be responsible for:

  • Providing dietetic support to young people and adults with eating disorders
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of agreed care management plans
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive service

About Us

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Honours Degree or equivalent in Nutrition and Dietetics approved by the BDA/Health Professions Council
  • Health Professions Council registered Dietitian
  • Evidence of relevant post graduate specialist clinical education at post graduate level or equivalent and/or equivalent experience
