Procurement Manager

Celeros Flow Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Buyer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for sourcing, selecting, negotiating, and purchasing all commodities for the Pump market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain relationships with key strategic subcontractors, ensuring operational purchasing and performance improvement, contract governance, and relationship management across all functions.
- Source new vendors, resolve conflicts, and ensure satisfactory operations, coordinating returns and/or repairs of products, and monitoring changes, modifications, and technological advances that affect the purchasing of goods and services.
- Review, evaluate, and monitor department purchase requisitions for proper authorization, specifications, and legal compliance, taking responsibility for procuring appropriate items or services, creating and reviewing purchase orders, researching and resolving receiving and accounts payable issues, and disbursing and maintaining files related to purchase orders and purchasing.
- Provide detailed analysis against criteria, comparing vendor's costs and other attributes, and develop and manage procurement strategies, benchmarking of key commodities, and undertaking supply chain research to ensure Clyde Union purchasing power is maximised and all commodities are purchased within budget and material savings are maximised.
- Assist and cover for the Sourcing Manager as and when required, and assist in the implementation of operational and strategic procurement, process improvements, and introduction of best practice procurement and supply chain management techniques.
Requirements:
- Strong negotiation and cost analysis skills, influencing, interpersonal, communication, IT including SAP or equivalent, vendor management.
- Experience with the procurement of a variety of commodities, including raw materials, electronics, connectors, power suppliers, cable assemblies, sheet metalwork, machining, and castings.
- Experience of tender bids, contracts, management of sub-contracts, SC standards, and process.
- CIPS qualified, or HNC, Degree level in business, mechanical/electrical engineering.
