About the Role:

Scotland Excel is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Strategic Procurement team on a permanent basis. As an Assistant Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering our contract delivery plan and supporting the preparation and issue of contract documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the delivery of our contract delivery plan and support the preparation and issue of contract documentation.
  • Contribute towards the realisation of the benefits of collaborative procurement by assisting in the delivery of our frameworks to customers.
  • Support managers and colleagues to initiate and organise User Intelligence Groups for designated commodities to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness and value are delivered to local authorities.
  • Undertake a range of research and analysis duties as directed in support of the procurement teams' contracts process.
  • Liaise closely with Scotland Excel Project and Account Managers to monitor/ensure effectiveness of contracts and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • A flexible approach working across all areas of procurement as directed by colleagues and managers.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute towards the delivery of our contract delivery plan.
  • Strong research and analysis skills, with the ability to undertake a range of duties as directed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise closely with colleagues and external stakeholders.
