Job Summary:

As a key member of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, you will play a critical role in developing strategic relationships with suppliers to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency. Your focus will be on mitigating supply chain risk, enhancing supplier performance, and ensuring on-time material availability for manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Procurement to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to drive performance improvement and cost reduction.
  • Lead the development and implementation of procurement processes and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Provide support to the Material Planning team to ensure timely and accurate material availability.
  • Develop and maintain management information reports to track key performance indicators.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through robust contract and relationship management processes.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects to eliminate non-value-added activities and enhance business outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork within the procurement team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in strategic procurement, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Understanding of working in a regulated environment.
  • Risk and contract management experience.
  • Experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive business growth.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of supply chain management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including advanced Excel skills.
