Job Overview
A Mental Health Support Professional is required to join our educational setting in Oldham, Lancashire. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting young individuals with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

About the Role
The role of a SEMHB Classroom Specialist involves delivering personalized support to students facing SEMH challenges, ensuring they can access and engage with the curriculum. This requires a patient and understanding approach, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate will facilitate group and one-to-one sessions that foster social skills, self-esteem, and academic achievement.

Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized support to students with SEMH needs
- Liaise with parents, teachers, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive support for students
- Facilitate group and one-to-one sessions that promote social skills, self-esteem, and academic achievement

Requirements
- A genuine interest in working with children with SEMH needs
- Previous experience in supporting young people with challenging behaviors in an educational setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Possession of a current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Relevant qualifications in youth work, counseling, psychology, or education are highly desirable
