Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Development and Growth Specialist to join our team at Ealing Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to improve practice standards and retain staff within the organization.

The role involves mentoring and coaching qualified social workers, occupational therapists, and ASCAs to model best practice and embed good practice. You will also commission the annual programme for social care professionals, ensuring it meets their training and development needs.

As a key member of the Social Care Academy team, you will work closely with the Principal Social Worker in Adults Services to ensure consistency in social care practice.

The estimated salary for this position is £50,000-£70,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve practice standards and retain staff.
  • Mentor and coach qualified social workers, occupational therapists, and ASCAs to model best practice.
  • Commission the annual programme for social care professionals.
  • Ensure consistency in social care practice across the organization.
Requirements
  • A social work qualification and working towards a practice education award.
  • Proven experience of managing staff and facilitating training.
  • Ability to demonstrate passion for developing and leading social care practice.
