Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Manager, Design and Product Development

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Design and Product Development to lead our Womenswear Design team on a temporary Maternity cover. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design process from concept to final product, ensuring that our products meet excellent quality standards, market trends, and brand identity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design process from concept to final product, ensuring that our products meet excellent quality standards, market trends, and brand identity.
  • Lead the design team in creating seasonal range plans, moodboards, and colour palettes that reflect current and future trends.
  • Manage the design of collections from concept to complete sampled range, ensuring that products meet business key seasonal objectives and range size targets.
  • Sign off fit for collections where responsible and clearly communicate product changes to the technical team.
  • Represent the design team in feedback sessions and research trips to collate information to present back to the womenswear director and Head of Design (Outerwear).
  • Manage the design process for any allocated collaborations and manage the training and development of direct reports.
  • Manage all SMU styles and collections for Barbour/BI and represent the design team in customer meetings and customer presentations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in fashion design or related field.
  • Previous leadership or management experience in design-related roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of clothing garment construction, fabrics, and manufacturing processes.
