Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in bid pricing and investment appraisals
  • Develop financial models for major investment projects, M&A, and disposals
  • Operational modelling for SPV investments, monitoring, and reporting of investment performance to banks and shareholders
  • Collaborate with technical teams to assess costs, KPIs, risks, and sensitivities
  • Participate in contract negotiations and provide financial support to bid teams and directors
  • Review financial and operational models
  • Draft and negotiate payment mechanisms and contract positions
  • Engage in due diligence for major investments, M&A, and disposals
  • Communicate with senior management and the board
  • Update business plans and forecasts
  • Liaise with internal teams, external advisors, banks, auditors, and lawyers
  • Support other finance and operational teams

Requirements

  • Degree in business, accounting, economics, engineering, or a related field
  • Qualified accountant or similar financial qualification
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers, contracting structures, and risks
  • Good time management and ability to deliver within tight deadlines
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn and improve
  • Minimum three years of experience in financial and/or operational modelling
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • General knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and UK taxation
  • Knowledge of tender processes and bid preparation preferred
