Are you a talented and ambitious financial professional with a passion for sustainability?

SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK is seeking a highly skilled Investment Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Corporate Development Finance team, you will play a crucial role in developing new investment projects, M&A, and disposals, as well as managing SPV investments and contract variations.

About the Role

Location: Maidenhead (with flexible working from home)

Salary: in the region of £75,000 (including car allowance) plus bonus up to 20% and generous benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in bid pricing and investment appraisals.
  • Develop financial models for major investment projects, M&A, and disposals.
  • Operational modelling for SPV investments, together with monitoring and reporting of investment performance to the banks and shareholders.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to assess costs, KPIs, risks, and sensitivities.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and provide financial support to bid teams and directors.
  • Review financial and operational models.
  • Draft and negotiate payment mechanisms and contract positions.
  • Engage in due diligence for major investments M&A, and disposals.
  • Communicate with senior management and the board.
  • Update business plans and forecasts.
  • Liaise with internal teams, external advisors, banks, auditors, and lawyers.
  • Support other finance and operational teams.

Requirements

  • Degree in business, accounting, economics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Qualified accountant or similar financial qualification.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers, contracting structures, and risks.
  • Good time management and ability to deliver within tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn and improve.
  • Minimum three years of experience in financial and/or operational modelling.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge.
  • General knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and UK taxation.
  • Knowledge of tender processes and bid preparation preferred.
