At Thames Hospice, we offer a competitive salary of £42,000 per year (pro rata for part time), reflecting the value we place on our employees' skills and experience.

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner to join our finance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial health and key business decisions by providing accurate and insightful financial data.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial management principles. You will be familiar with a broad range of financial management systems and processes and possess strong Excel skills with excellent attention to detail.

Your main duties will include ensuring that budgets are aligned to delivery of our strategy to Care with Agility, in a supportive culture whilst extending our reach in the community. You will provide data to ensure effective and timely decision making, working closely with the Executive Team and Heads of from across the charity to ensure financial accountability.

You will also be responsible for managing conflict, complexity and day-to-day demands ensuring the finance team is effective and productive. To line manage the Accounts Assistant in accordance with our Values and the culture we set for Thames Hospice.

We are looking for someone who can role model the right behaviours and ways of working to understand ethnic, cultural, spiritual, religious and any other differences between people to ensure our people, patients and families feel included and supported.

We require the successful candidate to have experience of financial analysis, modelling and budgeting/forecasting, as well as experience of statutory accounts production or supporting the statutory accounts process.

A recognised professional accountancy qualification CIMA, ACCA or equivalent, is essential. The ideal candidate will be skilled to use our IT systems for efficiency and simplicity management accounting software, MS Office, but Excel to a particularly high level.
