Job Overview

Austin Fraser is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Education Support Worker to join our team in an outstanding educational setting in Sheffield. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional education and support to pupils with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to children with special educational needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement an ECHP (Education, Health and Care Plan)
  • Engage with pupils through one-to-one support and small group work.
  • Monitor and support the well-being and progress of the pupils, adapting techniques to suit individual needs.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Special Needs Education Support Worker or in a similar role with transferable skills.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a DBS check on the update service.
  • Strong desire to go above and beyond for children with special educational needs.
  • Confident, patient, and highly motivated with an excellent understanding of the challenges faced by children with SEN.
