Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our nuclear and clean energy team. The successful candidate will work on exciting new technologies, ensuring the development of secure and sustainable energies that meet our industry and lifestyle demands today and in 30 years' time.

About the Role:

  • Design and substantiate mechanical equipment, including elements such as fatigue, defect tolerance, and high-temperature assessment.
  • Carry out structural integrity assessments of primary plant to keep existing fleets generating.
  • Support the UK Submarine and SMR programmes.
  • Enable one of many renewable energy projects across a growing carbon net-zero portfolio.

About You:

  • A degree-qualified mechanical engineer (or other relevant qualification).
  • Experience in carrying out design or substantiation for new mechanical equipment or existing plant.
  • Ability to engage with clients, working at their sites, and investing time in understanding their issues, goals, and processes.
