Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Accounts and Payroll Specialist to manage our payroll processes and maintain accurate records. The successful candidate will have experience with payroll software, specifically Sage pay, and be proficient in handling sensitive information.
Salary Details
The estimated annual salary for this position is £28,000 - £38,000, depending on experience. This is a part-time role, approximately 27.5 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain payroll records, including employee data, time sheets, and deductions.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources department to ensure accurate employee information is reflected in the payroll system.
- Utilize payroll software, particularly Sage pay, for efficient payroll processing.
- Prepare reports for HR Manager or finance team and/or management analysis as required.
- Assist with the implementation of HRIS systems and ensure data accuracy.
- Administer pension, life assurance, and employee assistance programmes.
Requirements and Expectations
- Proficiency in relevant software, particularly Sage pay.
- Experience with accounts payable processes that relate to payroll functions.
- Knowledge of human resources practices as they relate to payroll administration.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Strong attention to detail and an absolute commitment to maintaining confidentiality with sensitive information.
- The ability to be adaptable and help with any ad hoc tasks as required.
Work Location and Schedule
This role is based in Plymouth PL7 5JY and involves working from home part-time, Monday to Friday.
